Funshops
“Funshops” is a term we use because you’re not working when you’re having fun! And that’s our goal. We create and have fun together. Our 2–3 hour funshops are held in a beautiful, cozy space in the heart of Ojai, offering a relaxed and inspiring space to create or to discover and learn. Guests are welcomed with light fare, tea, coffee, and sweet treats so they can settle in and enjoy the experience at an easy pace. Each funshop is designed to spark joy, connection, and hands-on creativity—and every participant leaves with their handmade creation if we created something or a thoughtful parting gift to carry the magic home if our funshop was about learning something new.

Collage for the Soul is not an art class, and no art experience is necessary. It’s a course for self expression and uncovering hidden hopes and dreams. You’ll feel inspired to live your best life after each session!
The course is over 4 sessions: April 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th from 10:00am-12:00pm.

This playful funshop invites participants into the beautiful process of creating a wet-felted flower pin using vibrant, colorful wool. We begin by gently layering soft wool fibers, building a flower shape and blending hues to design expressive petals. Warm water and natural soap are then added, and the fibers are covered and carefully worked until they begin to intertwine and transform into a single felted form.
Once the flower has felted, participants shape and refine their petals, softly separating and sculpting them into bloom. Additional color can be layered into the center or along the edges for added depth and dimension. In the next step, a barbed felting needle is introduced for more detailed shaping and subtle texture work.
To finish, delicate glass seed beads are sewn into the center of the flower, and a pin backing is securely attached so the piece can be worn and enjoyed. Those who feel inspired to expand their design may create additional petal layers for a fuller bloom or add softly felted green leaves tucked beneath the flower for a more botanical finish.

Foundations of Beautiful Baking with Ixchel Gladstone of Bloom Bakery Ojai
There is something quietly magical about baking — the transformation of simple ingredients into something nourishing, fragrant, and beautiful. And yet, for many, baking can feel intimidating. Measurements seem precise, recipes unforgiving, and past “failures” linger in memory.
Foundations of Beautiful Baking is a gentle, confidence-building workshop designed to change that.
In this welcoming, hands-on experience, we slow down and return to the basics — understanding ingredients, learning proper measuring techniques, and discovering the mixing methods that create structure, tenderness, and flavor. Rather than simply following a recipe, you will begin to understand why baking works.
This workshop is not about perfection. It is about clarity. It is about building a strong foundation so that baking feels approachable, joyful, and deeply satisfying.
In our cozy Ojai studio, we’ll mix, bake, taste, and learn together — leaving not only with beautiful baked goods, but with knowledge and confidence that will carry into your own kitchen.
No experience required. Just curiosity and a willingness to begin.
