Created by two Ojai creatives, Flour & Fiber brings people together to connect, feel inspired, and explore their creative spark.

Peggie Williamson is a mixed media weaver, combining fibers of all sorts in her weavings. She was born in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and the colors and textures of the southwest have a strong influence on her work. Peggie was the founder and owner of Poppies Art and Gifts and was also a founder and owner of OVA Arts, both in Ojai, California, where she lives. When Peggie isn’t creating, she enjoys spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren. She also enjoys cooking and book club activities.

Ixchel Gladstone is a master baker and jewelry maker whose creative path is deeply woven with the women who shaped her life. She first began making jewelry alongside her beloved mother-in-law, cherishing the quiet moments of connection they shared. After her mother-in-law’s unexpected passing, jewelry making became a gentle way to stay close to her spirit. Ixchel’s journey with baking began while caring for her mother during her experience with Alzheimer’s dementia. In the midst of stress and heartache, the kitchen became a place of calm—a space where creativity soothed what felt overwhelming. Inspired by recurring dreams of her grandmother baking, Ixchel stepped into the craft and found her panic and anxiety beginning to ease. In many ways, her creativity is a living thread — one that keeps her connected to the maternal figures she has loved, learned from, and lost. When she is not crafting or baking, Ixchel enjoys spending time with her husband and son. She is also on the board of the dance organization, Dance Ojai, and is on the production team and dances in many of the organization’s productions. You can see some of Ixchel’s baking work on Instagram @bloombakeryojai.
